If I could be free, truly free,
If I could even defy gravity,
I would float away forever,
Far beyond this galaxy,

I'll go home, where my heart dwells,
To this world, where passion swells,
It's all untouched, fresh and clean,
Every tree is evergreen,

One ocean of crystal flows,
Nothing separates our land,
A virgin untouched by man,
Where gold is equal to sand,

I know it's out there somewhere,
Why else would I miss it so,
If only I could be free,
If only I could go home.
I was up all night doing this picture.:dizzy: I wanted to make this photo-manipulation and I wrote the poem after.

This poem is beautiful. I like how your rhyme scheme is inconsistent. A lot of poets don't like doing that and I think it's a mistake ^_~

This poem reminds me of a song by the same name: [link]

It's from a book soundtrack (book soundtrack? WTH?)

thank you very much :) I usually don't try to formalize my poetry too much and that makes me the ugly-ducking to some poets :fear: But fortunately I like tomatoes :boo: And I believe that art is free and we each define its boundaries individually, I hope that one day we'll all learn to respect each others passions!:crying: ......:ninjaeat:

I like that song too! Actually when I was younger I was going to write a book called Another World lol And in the book the main character was going to make various solo-guitar songs and I wanted to release the songs with the book :p The female in the book played the pan-flute. Solo-guitar and pan-flute together have a nice South-American melodic sound to it. But then I kind of lost inspiration...:( I actually posted up the first chapter for the heck of it here [link]
